I'm currently sitting in the airport waiting for a delayed flight on my way to Ireland! I will be traveling for the first two weeks with my brother all around Ireland and Northern Ireland. I took all of the suggestions from family, friends, blogs, and YouTubers to create a very extensive "travel suggestion plan". I'm an odd mix of first born type A with the planning, but middle child with the large gaps in plans and willingness to couch surf and hitch hike.
Over the past few years I have really gotten into the minimalist mind set. It's more in thought than action, however with this trip I have decided to throw out minimalism in place of taking things that remind me of home and that I won't have to rebuy. I have decided to make the extra room to pack knitting, and drawing supplies as well as highly suggested books.
It really hasn't hit me that I'm literally leaving in a few minutes to study abroad until December. I remember taking all of thanksgiving break last year to make spread sheets and massive sticky notes to narrow down which college to choose. I remember feeling so overwhelmed with all of the paperwork this spring wondering if it was really going to happen. Well, here we are.
I am super aware that studying abroad is a huge luxury and a once and a life time opportunity that I will not take for granite. Huge shoutout to my parents for making this even possible. I mean this is crazy, I'm actually going to live in Ireland, I won't have to leave after a week and never going back to a favorite pub or bookstore again.
Hopefully these won't be our looks the entire trip...
Alright got a flight to catch!
First blog post woohoo! I love this. So cute. So exciting. I'm gonna take some credit for convincing you to throw minimalism to the wind ha. Love you & have fun don't do drugs and drink responsibly okee
