Yesterday I wore my same Jcrew dress I wore on Sunday. Because the dress is fancy and tad tight I added a sweater over it. This is a way you can make it look like a skirt shirt combo and wear the same dress.
Today I pulled out yet another jean dress. This is my ruffle off the shoulder dress that I added accessories to to make it warmer and more appropriate for school. Instead of wearing it off the shoulders I pulled it up and added a sweater. I then added my duck boots and a white scarf for a winter feel.
Funds are still coming in for Dressember and I am so excited about that. I got to tell my mentor how much I have learned and grown from this experience. It's always really cool to talk about how the Lord used this small idea and ran with it.
I didn't realize how much the devil would try to get to me through this whole process. People warned me he would try to point out the negative and boy has he. It's been hard to focus on all the good when there is maybe one thing that is going wrong. But awesome people around me are reminding me daily to focus on the Lord.
Remember anytime you step out in faith and leadership trusting the Lord people will ridicule you and the devil will try to get to you. But also remember you can start a chain reaction. You can be the change you want to see. You have no idea what that small act might inspire others to do. I just kept thinking about the seniors my freshman year and the small things they did that I still remember that they probably don't and how much they inspired me. Just a simply hello from a senior I still remember.
Also sorry for all the weird photos. Most of them are taken really late at night when because I forget or after I take a nap and I don't feel like smiling.
