ll Homecoming 2k15 ll

I would like to first start off and say that I am so sorry that this has taken me so long to put up. My computer is broken so the keyboard doesn't work. It has taken me this long to figure out a new plan. I apologize for that and hopefully my posts will be more consistent from now on.

Anyway, homecoming was a few weeks ago and I wanted to share my experience with you. I'm just going to start and tell you about my whole day and if you don't want to read it that's why I put all of the pictures together in the beginning.

First off is how I got asked to homecoming. My dear friend Liam Reusser asked me and it was super adorable. He had a red carpet and and "Oscar" and everything. It was definitely red carpet worthy. I knew it wouldn't be awkward with him because we were such good friends so I was very excited.

When I was looking for dresses I knew that the theme of the dance was Hollywood. I'm not much of a big fake gems on goddy dresses kind of girl. I like that classic more simple dresses and then I jazz it up with the accessories and makeup. I would rather wear the dress than the dress wear me. What is more classic Hollywood then a black dress? I found this one on Poshmark and if you are looking for a formal dress I would look there.

Because I got such a simple dress I knew that I would need some statement jewelry. My fashionista cousin Morgan always has cute J Crew jewelry because she used to work there. So, I borrowed the necklace and earrings from her.

I knew that for my hair I wanted to do the iconic Hollywood hair that was inspired by the 40s. To add to that I needed a broach that would not only match the necklace but also work with the hairstyle. I found this perfect one at Versona, the perfect stop for all your accessory needs.

The shoes I ended up wearing were my maroon suede heels from Pay Less. They were a low enough heel that they were comfy but tall enough to still be fancy. You can also see that Liam's socks matched my shoes which of course we planned.

For my makeup I wanted to keep it simple but still chic. I decided to go with the bombshell red lips. To balance that I went with a more simple eye makeup. I love the winged eyeliner look so I went for it. I also for the first time, did some little contouring which I really liked that outcome of.

After I got ready I took a quick photo with my brother before he had to leave then I went to Liam's house to take pictures of the corsage and boutonniere. We got them made at Beards Floral because he makes the coolest flower arrangements. I loved how they came out and couldn't be happier.

After we took pictures at Liam's house we met up with other couples from our school and took some group photos. They all looked lovely and it was fun to share the experience with them. We took the pictures at an country club/office building that had a pond and was very beautiful.

Overall the night was so amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better date or group of friends to go with. The decorations were beautiful and all the girls looked stunning. After the hair had fallen, the makeup at been smudged, we were all sweaty and tired i didn't want the night to end. The night most definitely went on my top 5 lists of best nights of my life. I can't wait for next years!
