Homecoming!!!!!

My school is a little different. Our homecoming is in the spring. The reason for this was because when the school started off they didn't have a football team so they had to have their homecoming game at a  basketball game. Making it have to be in the spring. Also we were long dresses and we take it very seriously. Homecoming is defiantly the biggest dance at my school so everyone will be look spectacular. The date is set for February 8 which is sneaking up on us. Weather you go to my school,  are going to a prom soon, or are just bored and reading my blog it doesn't matter. Today I'm going to talk a little bit about my plans for my homecoming look and tips on how to still look stunning under a reasonable budget.

MY DRESS} Because I want my dress and look to be a surprise I'm not going to show you my dress yet. But once Homecoming is over i'll show you everything! This year I wanted to go simple. I also think it's a little ridiculous to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress you will wear once. I'll talk later about how I saved a ton of money on my dress. But right now I want to show you some of my dress options I had in mind.
The first dress is from Sammy dress. I think it is a Asian web sight and I saw this dress and fell in love. It was only 60$ but the shipping was going to be really expensive. This next dress I saw on We Heart It. I never found the price but I'm sure it was really expensive. I finally found my dress its really pretty and I'm really happy with it.

HAIR}
This was an option for my hair because the pink dress had sleeves. But my dress I have now is strapless so I would feel more comfortable with my hair down so I need to go research some pictures on pinterest.

I will most defiantly be doing my makeup like this. Very simple but still lovely. I love the champagne colored eye shadow and the long lashes.

How to save money...
The dress}
This is probably the item that people spend the most money on. It can go from 50$ to 500$. The biggest way to save money is to borrow a dress from a senior. At my school we have a dress exchange. Upper class girls drop of their dresses that we can borrow. It's so helpful and very sweet. They are completely free and there is no shame. Just ask a senior if you could borrow her dress and let her know you will give it right back after you dry clean it.

Hair, makeup and Nails}
Just do it yourself or have your friend do it. If you really want to get something done then just have one of those items listed done. This year i'll probably only get my nails done. Is it really worth getting hair makeup and nails?

Jewelry and shoes}
I think if you didn't spend money on a dress or your hair, makeup and nails I would put a little money into the accessories. You can wear them again and they can also be pretty reasonably priced.

That's all I have today for you! I hope you found this helpful and don't worry I will have tons of pictures of my look soon!!
