Lately every day I have been doing a mini work out/stretching routine. This is basically what we do in jazz before starting the class. Also if you are trying to do the splits then I will have some stretches that will help and some tips for you! This routine will help with the splits and getting flexible in general and abs!





1.I always work out on a yoga mat. This will help you not slip around as much.
2.Also I have a playlist on my IPod with energetic song for abs and warm up then slower songs for stretching!

3.You want to warm up your body so you can do around 30 jumping jacks


 



                                4.Next just loosen up the body with arm circles hip movements.
5.Then I do these stretches for a song.
 When I'm done with the right side I do the left side for a song.

Now I do abs for a whole song


I do different things with my legs

Then I do the splits for a whole song. If you cant go all the way down then you can sit on a pillow so it is more comfortable. (For sliding down into the splits you might want to get off your yoga mat)

An athletic shirt. Today was cold so I wore a hoodie

Some sweat pants (good for sliding down on the splits)
 
or athletic shorts (I know these blues are clashing sorry about that!)

some sock also helpful with the splits

and my hair pulled back with a head band
